Leyland appears in the Domesday Book, but it became famous worldwide as the home of Leyland Motors, the bus and truck maker that grew into British Leyland. Most homes in Leyland are semi-detached houses, detached houses and bungalows, with a large share of the town built in the 1970s. These homes usually have straightforward staircases, often with a single turn, and both straight and curved stairlifts suit them well.

Stairlifts for Leyland’s Family Homes
Leyland sits on low-lying ground south of Preston, with the River Lostock flowing through its western suburbs, and it is home to Worden Park. Most homes here are semis, detached houses and bungalows, with a large share built in the 1970s. Staircases in homes of this kind are often wider than in Victorian terraces, which gives more choice of seat and rail. Our surveyor will measure your staircase and talk through comfort options such as swivel seats and footrest styles.
