If your stairlift has stopped, keeps beeping or is not moving properly, call us on 07534 654944. We repair every make of stairlift, whether or not we fitted it, across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cumbria from our base in Colne.
Our engineer finds the fault, explains what is wrong and agrees the repair with you before any parts are fitted.
We repair all kinds of stairlift faults, including:
Stairlift not moving, or stopping part way up the stairs
Beeping, warning lights or error codes
Battery and charging faults
Remote control or handset problems
Seat not swivelling or not locking in place
Noisy, slow or jerky travel
Safety sensors that keep stopping the lift
Before You Call: Quick Checks
Some stoppages have a simple cause. These checks are safe to try:
Make sure the key switch or power switch on the lift is turned on
Check the seat is swivelled back and locked in the travel position
Check nothing is pressing on the footrest or carriage, such as a slipper or the edge of a stair carpet
Make sure the lift is parked on its charge point and the socket is switched on at the wall
Try new batteries in the remote control
If the lift still will not move, do not open the covers or try to free it yourself. Call us and tell us about any error code or beeping. Our stairlift batteries page explains charging faults in more detail.
We repair and service all makes of stairlift, including lifts we did not supply. These are the brands we see most often, and we work on every other make too.

Is It Worth Repairing an Old Stairlift?
Usually, yes. Many faults are fixed by replacing a single part, such as the batteries, a sensor or a control. If your lift is very old and parts are hard to find, we will tell you honestly and talk you through the options, including a reconditioned stairlift from £1,595 fully fitted.
