Handicare 1000 Stairlift: Standard, XL, XXL and Perch
Several Versions on One Slim Rail
The Handicare 1000 is a straight stairlift with a slim aluminium rail and a hidden gear rack, so the track stays neat and takes up little room on the stairs. What makes it stand out is the range of versions built on the same rail.
The standard model carries up to 21.5 stone, the XL up to 25 stone and the XXL up to 31.5 stone, the highest weight limit we offer on a straight staircase. There is also a Perch version with a stand-up seat for people who find it hard to bend their knees or hips. Our perch stairlifts guide explains who it suits.
Every price is a starting price that includes installation, VAT and a parts and labour warranty (3 years on new, 2 years on reconditioned). Your exact price depends on your staircase and the options you choose, and we confirm it in writing after a free home survey.

What Owners Say
Most owner reviews we found cover Handicare as a brand rather than the 1000 specifically. They score Handicare 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot (around 2,000 reviews) and 4.9 out of 5 on Feefo for Handicare working with Age Co.
Praised: polite engineers, tidy installation on the promised day, and lifts that are simple to use.
Criticised: a minority report faults soon after fitting or slow repair callouts. Aftercare depends on who supplies and services the lift.
An advisor visits at a time that suits you, measures your staircase and talks through the options. No charge and no obligation.
